ReplyDeleteCan you please show the work for Ex.4? I understand 4a but the other two parts I'm not sure about.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I have heard, overall work for is 0, so the work done in the last cycle must cancel out with the work done thus far (-1.6X10^4) - so w=1.6X10^4.

ReplyDeleteThe reason why overall work is 0 has something to do with the overall heat flow being 0, since the entire process is a closed loop. I'll make sure to ask around and post the answer on the document by tonight or tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteThank you for responding :)
